Mathematical image analysis

Within IST/e mathematical image analysis focuses on mathematical foundations and methodologies for signal and image representations geared towards applications of interest within the central themes of IST/e.

The Mathematical Image Analysis group, headed by professor Luc Florack, addresses generic issues that arise in the development of specific applications by all IST/e affiliated research teams, with a special focus on multi-parameter image representations from the vantage point of differential geometry, functional analysis, and Lie group theory.
