Imaging Science & Technology

Eindhoven

Within the Imaging Science & Technology group (IST/e) we develop new protocols, paradigms, and algorithms for the acquisition, representation, interpretation and visual exploration of complex medical and biomedical images, i.e. images that defy traditional image analysis and visual inspection.

A keystone element is the synergy offered by the strong cross-divisional collaboration, established with the support of the Executive Board of TU/e, involving physics, mathematics, computer science, biomedical engineering and electrical engineering. IST/e focuses on three application themes, referred to as neuro, cardio and onco for brevity, and is geared towards academic, industrial and clinical demands.
